Rotary Laser Marking Machine

The Rotary Table Laser Marking Machine is a fully automated inline solution designed to optimize your marking cycle time. It is the go-to laser machine when only a few seconds are available to apply direct part marking or when deep laser engraving is required.

Easy to integrate in production lines, the machine’s dual-stage rotary table leverages the robot’s assistance to load and unload fixtured parts while a permanent marking is applied.

Benefits of the Rotary Table Machine

Rotary Marking Machine

Create Cycle Time

You don’t have to slow down production when the required marking time exceeds the robot’s idle time. With the rotary table’s dual position indexer, laser marking occurs in hidden time, using just a few seconds of the robot’s time for part loading.

Complexe marking

For Complex Marking Operations

Designed to make use of nearly 100% of the cell cycle time, the rotary machine is ideal for longer laser processes, such as large identifiers, shotblast and powder coat resistant markings that may require deep engravings.

autofocusing technology

Autofocusing Technology
for Repeatable Markings

Because the part is as good as the mark, the rotary table machine can be equipped with an advanced autofocusing system that automatically compensates for misalignments, thermal dilatation and shape fluctuation.

Multi Parts adaptation

Rapidly Adapt to Multiple Parts

Apply data matrix codes and barcodes on a wide variety of parts and rapidly switch from one production to another simply by changing fixtures. With our intuitive HMI, you can also move or resize codes and text through PLC communication.

Integrated Dust and Heat Management

To minimize maintenance and ensure long term performance, this laser machine is equipped with active dust and heat management.

Instant Barcode Validation

Achieve instant quality control for your markings. Our standard barcode validation peripheral identifies any uncompliant marking just after the marking operation, including data matrix codes, QR codes, serial numbers and so on.

Class-1 Laser Safety Rating

Safety is never an option. As a turnkey solution, this automated machine complies with international laser safety standards. It helps you create a 100% safe work environment without requiring personal protective equipment.

Laser Machine Options

Laser Configuration

With up to 500W of available laser power, our experts can adjust the marking speed as needed to fit your cycle time.

The laser machine can also be powered with a 2D head, which is less expensive and adapted for flat surfaces and surface roughness imprecisions, or a 3D head, which is ideal for any type of part geometry or to compensate for bended parts.

Autofocus System

To fix potential robot imprecisions, the 3D Autofocus system detects part positioning variations and uses that information to automatically adjust the marking process. This allows you to consistently generate high-contrast markings.

HMI Control Panel

The standard HMI control panel provides direct access to laser marking parameters near the machine. You can manually adjust the laser marking zone, scale the identifiers, edit them and more. You can also enter the manual operation mode to run tests or calibrate the laser. Finally, you can display information such as the system status, the operation mode and the alarm history.

Barcode Validation

Marking quality can be verified directly in the machine with our standard barcode validation system and precalibrated Cognex camera.

VisionView

To comply with the latest industrial traceability standards, Cognex’s VisionView can be integrated directly in our standard HMI to help you visualize reading results as well as perform maintenance and diagnostics on the barcode reader. You gain access to their standard views and database analysis tools, which can be used for production lot tracking, marking quality statistics and much more.

Custom Fixtures

The Laserax team can build custom fixtures to fix your parts onto the rotary table.

Fixture Validation

Leave no room for operation mistakes that lead to incorrect serialization. Our fixture validation system can automatically read the fixture’s barcode and load its corresponding parameters. As a result, the right laser configuration and automation sequence are started every time.
